Info & Contacts
The article about everything that I’m willing to share publicly.
Name
Call me Chino Moka, or just Chino.
The handle for my online accounts is usually qiront. It’s short enough
and has a very low chance of colliding.
The names that I’m commonly referred to online are chosen so that people will immediately notice that they are not real names. Yes, my name is just mocaccino. No, I don’t drink coffee.

Food
I don’t have allergies, though I do have many foods that I hate, and here is a list of (hopefully) all of them:
- Tofu. Seriously why are people putting gypsum in their foods??
- Anything in the brassica oleracea species. Common ones include Brussels sprout, broccoli, cauliflower, and sometimes cabbage.
- Alcohol, as in beer and wine. One day someone invited me to eat Fondue with red wine, I can’t start to describe how miserable I was.
- Coffee and Tea. Sorry, I hate them both.
- Walnut and some other nuts. I’m not allergic, they’re just bitter.
- Anything else that’s considered bitter. My sense for bitterness seems to overpower everything else.
- Anything too hot, or spicy as in mustard. If you need a hotness level, then consider anything above whatever the medium is.
- Spring water. It always seems to have a metallic taste to me.
Note that coriander is fine.
The list is mostly for someone inviting me to a meal. If you are one of them and is running out of ideas, here’s the foods that I usually prefer:
- Potato or wheat based staple food. Like snake pack, pizza, sandwich, and noddles.
- Anything with high sugar content. Like milk chocolate and soft drinks. I insist that dark chocolate is merely a food ingredient and shouldn’t be eaten raw.
Usually I don’t like ordering delivery for rice or noddles. They change tastes too quickly to warrant the half-hour delivery.
Communication
I’m not DM friendly, and will only reply to you if I have something to share. Avoid sending hellos, and don’t ask to ask. Messages without a clear question will almost always be sent straight to the archive, and most of the time you won’t even get a read receipt.
Sometimes I wait until I have a good enough answer before replying. If I didn’t send anything back after the read receipt has been present for 15 minutes, send a follow-up message.
If you wish to contact me, send everything to @Chino.50 on Signal. If you
have a large file to attach, encrypt a 7z archive and send a link to it. For
messages too long to fit in a DM, mail them to i at chino dot dev. Don’t
ask for PGP, I don’t and will never have one, encrypting emails makes no sense.
I usually call the other parties in voice by a two-syllable version of their first name, and ask for one if I can’t figure it out. Calling names with more than three syllables in them is rarely comfortable for me, so come prepared if you intend to have a call with me.
Equipment
If history is anything to go by, this section tends to get outdated quite quickly. Though I’ll still try to maintain it as a reference.
The desktop PC is the one that I mainly uses, which is referred to as
chinos-twr24 in the NixOS config. For a list of installed software, just
look it up in the config.
My current keyboard of choice for coding is the Glove80 with the Gallium layout on it. Its silent switches have terrible hand feel, but other than that it’s a solid keyboard. I also occasional swap to the ATK RS7 Air, which has magnetic switches, mainly for rhythm games. For any games that require a numpad I use the LT104 with red switches.
On the go, I usually bring a 14” MacBook Pro and a 11” iPad Pro. The mac
is the chinos-mbp23 in the NixOS config. My smartphone is the OnePlus 13,
and the Redmi Note 12T as backup.
